Portraitology

I am not your average portrait photographer. I specialize in creating contemporary family portraiture – that means no dark studio, no uncomfortable stools, no dusty backdrops or requests to “say cheese.” It means that you and your children will have a great time just being yourselves. For your family that might mean rubber boots and mud puddles, swing sets and monkey bars, or ice cream cones and messy faces.

My philosophy is that an image should focus on personalities and relationships rather than stiff poses and worn props. At David McCain Photography, a portrait session is a play date. Let’s run until we get tired, play until we get dirty and laugh until our faces hurt.
