I am always sad when I get to know a couple, have a great time with them, but because they didn’t realize I travel for weddings, I only get to do their engagement session. I take the blame for not making it easily known that I will travel for a wedding. I wish you guys the best and hope that we get together again soon!

I got an envelope in the mail from Chiquita; yep the banana people. They must be thanking me for taking my daily regimen of potassium in their fantastic tasting bananas. No, the truth is that it had been a couple weeks since my meeting with Katherine and Eric that I forgot she worked for Chiquita! Anyhow, it is fun getting envelopes in the mail with the Chiquita Lady on them. Katherine and Eric have this beautiful English Bulldog. He was a wonderful subject and cooperated quite well. Some of his faces remind me of Spike from Looney Tunes fame. Hopefully we will see him again. The wedding and reception to follow are at TPC at Rivers Bend.

For those of you who remember, Ashley McFarland, has been a big supporter and fan of my work. Well she passed her photo love on to her sister and I had an awesome time with Ashley, Corey and Jimmie, and their beautiful dog. It will be a Columbus Ohio Wedding, and they picked some cool locales for the photography. The Jeffrey Mansion and the Venue at Smith Bros.

Brittany and Luke – A frat party success story! – Totally kidding, but they did meet at college and what a pair! They look great together!! If you don’t agree, I feel sorry for your poor eyesight and hope that no one hires you to photograph them:) I really had a great time with these two at Eden Park and in downtown Cincinnati. A beautiful evening with great weather! We could not have asked for a better night. If you love Montgomery Inn barbecue, keep your eye out for Brittany at the Boathouse. And if you like golf, or need to get better at it, get a hold of Luke – a local assistant golf pro.

A really fun downtown session with some “help” from an unlikely source! Whenever I photograph around crowds, or places where you cannot really avoid other people, it never fails that someone approaches me and either asks me for money or starts gabbing me up about my camera equipment. I love talking about gear but when I have the camera up to my eye and you see a beautifully dressed couple on the other end of that camera – you may want to pass on the conversation for the present time:) It makes the sessions interesting nonetheless, and it really did get a good laugh from both Becky and Jeremy – so thank you to the Velvet jogging suit wearing, Empty tank of gas having gentleman that asked me to fill up his tank even though his car was not present and he could not tell me where it was!

Thanks for being good sports Beck and Jeremy!

Cincinnati Wedding Photographer Teri + Craig

Teri and Craig plus an energetic puppy and a chill puppy make for a fun session at the park. A beautiful family altogether I must say. It was a muggy May weekend but we survived the heat and even made it down to Mainstrasse for Maifest! An interesting crowd for sure. Teri and Craig were great sports and even walked through the crowd for a couple “busy” shots for me. We had a corn dog, even though they gave away our first order and had to make more. It was a bit insane down there so I don’t blame them for getting mixed up. Thanks for a fun day together, and for being an incredible question “asker” Teri – you make it nice to talk about myself:)

I am constantly reminded why I love me job, and Maureen and Joe were a great reminder of the fun I get to have! I traveled up to Michigan to do some portraits around Birmingham and went out to St Claire Shores and Grosse Pointe, and ended with dinner and drinks at Memphis Smoke in Royal Oak. Maureen found me through another couple of mine – Brent and Danielle – and I am stoked to have met them! Enjoy!

Sometimes I cannot wait to edit…Shooting is a lot of fun but occasionally downloading and editing can be the cherry on top of a decadent, delicious, heart attack of a sundae for me – today was one of those days. And I can’t wait to share with you.

Liz and Art are a very fashionable and unique couple – she works for Urban Outfitters (one of my fave stores), and he studies Hebrew and Greek. An eclectic match-up and an incredible couple! If I lived in Philly, or they in Cinci – we would be fast friends. Had a great time – thanks for making the trip and being such incredible people to work with!
